Good morning!

Two weeks have passed since starting school. I have to say that I like it very much! A LOT, and I mean a LOT, of homework to do. But, I am taking 13 units, so I'm full time. My husband and son are SO wonderful too about it. Very encouraging and supportive.

I chose the ornies today that I'll make for my children this Christmas. I'm going to order them this week sometime. I never had a chance to make ornies last year for them and I felt awful that I bought some for them. They don't come here, so I'm safe posting them! LOL

These are by Sweetheart Tree and are absolutely adorable!! I can't wait to get stitching on them!
I would love to hear what you're stitching on. Leave me a reply and let me know!
Hugs and have a great day my friends.

Afternoon!

I've been a busy one...okay, so when am I NOT busy you say? lol And you'd be absolutely right!

I've got 2 more days til school starts for me. I must say that I'm a bit nervous about my a/p class as there is SO much to learn. Then the 3 other classes as well. But, I'm confident in knowing I'm a smart cookie and that I will be able to do it. And the human body and how it works is a fascination of mine, so I should just love this class. :0)

I started cross stitching again about a week ago. I hadn't xstitched in 2 yrs. My xstitching mojo went on an extended vacation apparently. LOL But, now I'm stitching on a piece for hubby and I that's a beautiful Stoney Creek wedding piece. I'm changing all the pink flowers to blue ones though as I think it will be SO much more pretty that way.

I got the house all organized today. Got our spare room made into a study room (it still has a bed in there for guests) with a desk I found at goodwill. I primed and painted it and it looks fantastic! Got my son's computer set up on it (I have a netbook and there's room for it too) and have my school things and his set up on the bookshelf. Tomorrow I'm going to do a thorough cleaning in the house so that I feel better about going to school Tuesday. Anyone that knows me knows my house is always clean. Being a full time student is NOT going to change that. Trust me. :0)

Hope you all have a great week ahead. And those that have a 3 day weekend, ENJOY!

Happy New Year everyone!

We rang in the New Year at a friends house. They had a family friendly party and we had a blast. We celebrated the ball drop at 11pm so that we could all get home before all the craziness started outside while we were driving home.

I got to go yesterday and have my new permanent front tooth crown put on. I broke my front tooth in half when I was in 5th grade and had a permanent crown put on it when i was 16. I have hated it since I got it. It was never the same color as my teeth were (it was yellow compared as the dentist said that teeth yellow as you get older...there weren't tooth whiteners in those days). It was shorter than my other front tooth AND it had metal in it for stability and it showed right at the gum line. UGLY!! So, almost 30 years later I have one that matches my teeth, the right length and NO METAL!! Here's a pic after I got it put on....

STITCHING GOALS FOR 2011:

I have thought a lot about what I want to get stitched this year. Here are my 'want to stitch' things:

I WANT to xstitch stockings for my son, husband and myself.

I WANT to xstitch ornaments for my son and daughter.

I WANT to xstitch the wedding piece that I searched forever for the right one and finally found it.

I would also love to crochet an afghan for my niece for Christmas.

Now, if I get ANY of this done, I'll be extremely happy. My cross stitch group is going to have an encouragement group as a lot of us lost our xstitching mojo over the past year or so. It's been almost 2 years for me. The only obstacle is going to be my school and homework and home schooling my son.

I start school 2 weeks from today. I'm VERY nervous about going back. I'm 45 years old and starting a new career. But, I'm SO excited at the same time about going back.

I wish you all a very prosperous New Year! May you all have your socks blessed off!
